Bustling Corfu Town at Easter Saturday

What a place to be, Corfu Town at Easter Saturday evening! Masses of people are walking direction Espianade, the park at the foot of the Old Fortress, where the festivities will take place. When we arrive at 10.30 there is already a crowd of people, most of them with a candle at hand. Tha atmosphere is very friendly, everybody feels united with all the people around. At 11 in the evening the papas start singing their hymns and before they are ready the fireworks starts with a lot of thunder, explosions and fire. Beatiful! Here's a short photo impression...
