Mirtiottisa (see Glyfada)

In the beautiful rolling hills of central West Corfu you will find Alexander House. This very spacious apartment occupies the entire top floor of what was once a family home. But as it often happens in Greece and other countries, the children grow up and leave and the house is too big. Then most of the time the empty floor is used as a store room or as guest quarters. This owner, however, decided to relocate to the ground floor and transform the first floor into a very, very large apartment. So the guests are privileged to get the floor with the spectacular views. That's what we call Greek hospitality.

Tranquil Corfu

The apartment is brand new, and is well furnished and decorated. A spacious living room with a cosy sitting area with sofa, TV and a large dining table; a kitchen with sleek appliances and cooking facilities. Furthermore there are two bedrooms with large wardrobes and four beds in total. Here you don’t need to ask someone to leave the building because you just want to open your suitcase. The owner has not skimped on space.
The brand new kitchen is provided with everything you need to fix your own meals. Due to its location, Alexander House is situated on a quiet road; traces of country life are all around and give you the feeling that life here is not as fast as at home. There are many green pastures in the nearby Ropa Valley, beautiful hiking areas in the immediate vicinity and is even close to the beautiful beaches of the west coast of Corfu. Alexander House and its location have everything.

Beach Pleasure nearby

The only problem everyday will be: shall we go to the beach of Ermones, Mirtiottissa, Glyfada or Kontogialos? These possibilities are in fact all within walking distance. All of these beaches have their own characteristics which makes them so appealing.
Ermones, with its beautiful rocky environment is therefore perfect for snorkelling. At the beach of Mirtiottissa you are allowed to be dressed as Adam and Eve - perfect for the all over tan. Glyfada and Kontogialos are ideal for families with little children due to the gently sloping beach and the children can have fun in the clear blue Ionian Sea. There are some great opportunities to strengthen the inner man with a drink or some nice food.

Beautiful Midwest Corfu

For tourists who like hiking there is a lot to do in the vicinity of Alexander House. Quiet paths meander through the hills that vary in slope from slight to steep. You can savour the peace and quiet as you walk through the wooded hillsides or open fields, enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
A visit to nearby Pelekas should certainly be on your holiday program. A very picturesque town with many sights and views and of course is famous as the place where Emperor Wilhelm drank in the natural beauty of Corfu: Kaisers Throne. Wander leisurely through the narrow streets of this hilltop village and marvel at this well preserved Corfiot village. Pelekas has a great nightlife.

Enjoying holiday in Mirtiottissa

Wake up well rested in your nice apartment and make a great start to the day by taking a walk to the bakery or the supermarket a little further away. Fresh bread can also be purchased daily (except Sunday) from the baker who comes to your door. Yes, that still happens on holiday island Corfu. During your breakfast you can prepare yourself for a new day of your holiday. Maybe, after a delightful day at the beach, you will prepare for a nice barbecue under the foliage in the secluded gardens of Apartment Alexander.
With the Corfu Golf Course (Ermones/Vatos) and Aqualand (Agios Ioannis) close at hand, everybody will have a great time during their holiday at Corfu. There is parking space in the grounds of the apartment.
